PCGS Certified Gold Coins

Since 1986, the Professional Coin Grading Service, or PCGS, has been instrumental in making rare coins more readily marketable to the world. PCGS certified gold coins are widely considered by collectors and investors to be ideal long-term investments, as they are validated for their authenticity, mint state grading, and precious metal content. PCGS certified gold coins are rare, and as rare coins possess numismatic value, they generally appreciate over time. They are liquid in over one hundred, twenty countries world wide, and come sonically sealed in a plastic sleeve, or “slab”, with each coin also receiving its’ own serial number, and assay of authenticity. Seasoned investors appreciate the added investment safety value of PCGS certified gold coins, as they are also deemed to be non confiscatable by the U.S. government.

For a nominal fee, the Professional Coin Grading Service employs its’ own team of numismatic experts to examine, evaluate, and assign mint state grades to a rare coins. A final grader gives the rare coins an official mint state grading, and they are then sealed, and issued their serial number. Official graders for the PCGS no longer work in the world coin trade market, to assure objectivity and impartiality. As I’ve mentioned, PCGS certified gold coins are non-confiscatable by the U.S. government. Many investors today fear a second confiscation of gold from U.S. citizens, like the one in enacted in 1933. At that time, there was a national emergency in banking, and our Treasury Department needed gold to quell the banking emergency, and back up our nation’s dollar. Exempt from this confiscation was rare coins, and as such, PCGS certified gold coins are deemed to be non-confiscatable by the U.S. government.
